Horizontal flow-wrappers make tubes out of film aided by finseal wheels. It usually seals the end of the filled bag with the cutting head. The packaged bag has no side seal and is called a "pillow package" due to its shape.
It wraps goods placed on its conveyor belt from above and seals them horizontaly. The process repeats for the next pieces of goods, waiting in equal distance. The film reel is either located at the top of the machine or underneath it. |
Covered Items: Baked confectionery, Japanese sweets, Bread, Dried noodles, Pasta, Vegetables, Trays, Frozen food, Fish, Meat etc. |

The vertical sealing process is similar to the horizontal flow-wrappers, but in vertical form, fill and seal machines the film flows vertically from above. This type of machine is also known as vertical bag filling machine. There are stick shapes for powder-like producs, three sides seal for i.e. small bag liquid packaging, four sides seal for i.e. pharmaceutical products, pyramid (triangle)-formed bags and many more. |
Covered Items: Liquids, Viscous substances, Mixtures of liquid and solid products (i.e. Soup, Soybean paste, Devil's tongue jelly), Powders (Spices, Seasoning, Soap powder), Granular substances(Candy, Bean cake), Chocolate, Frozen food, Chemicals, Metal parts etc. |

There are various types of vacuum packaging machines, such as no chamber vacuum sealers or belt types. Vacuum packaging machines deaerate bags or filled cases inside a chamber by pumping out the air and heat-sealing it to comlete the process. No chamber vacuum sealing machines mold the thermoforming film by heating it, covering it with a cover film and sealing it inside a vacuum. |
Covered Items: Slice ham, Roast pork, Fish products, Omelet, Hamburger, Rice flour pudding etc. |

Stretch packaging machines are used to package products directly, as well as products on trays, with stretch film. During "boost-up stretching", the machine wraps the products while they are beeing boosted up, and then seals the film at four corners. "Horizontal movement stretching" seals the film edges at the front as well as the back, similar to a horizontal flow-wrapper. Stretch film is self-adhesive, but every packaging machine completes the package by sealing it with a heater. |
Covered Items: Perishables such as vegetables, fish, or meat |

L type shrink machines use twofold film, stretch shrink machines use stretch film and are mainly used to handle trays, and horizontal flow-wrapper types make it possible to process products wih high speed. However, every type of machine wraps the products and passes it into a shrink tunnel after sealing. Inside, the film is shrunk by heat. |
Covered Items: L type shrink is mainly used for cosmetic products, wooden boxes, books etc. Stretch shrink is mainly used for food on trays, meat, fish etc. Horizontal flow-wrappers are mainly used for instant noodles, cup jellies, cells, bottles, canned food, spray cans etc. |
